Sales Manager – France (Exterior & Street Lighting) €70k+ Neg Basic plus High OTE + Car
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and growth-oriented Sales Manager to support the expansion of our client's lighting business across the French market. The role combines direct business development activities, management and development of the commercial network, and strategic relationships with key public and private clients.The position is home-based with regular travel throughout France and occasional visits to the company headquarters in Italy for training sessions, strategic meetings, client meetings, and business updates.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute the commercial strategy for the French market• Identify and generate new business opportunities within public administration and private sector clients
• Build and manage relationships with key decision-makers, architects, specifiers, distributors, contractors, and institutional clients
• Develop, coordinate, and support the local commercial network and sales partners
• Monitor market trends, competitors, and new business opportunities
• Lead negotiations and support major project acquisitions
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure efficient project execution and customer satisfaction
• Manage and motivate a small support team when required
• Contribute to revenue growth and profitability targets
• Provide regular reporting and forecasting to the General Director of the France Business Unit
Required Qualifications & Experience
• Minimum 5 years of commercial experience in the lighting industry• Minimum 3 years of experience in sales network management and public administration/public tender business
• Strong business development and negotiation skills
• Proven ability to work independently and manage a territory remotely
• Strong mobility mindset and availability for frequent travel
• Results-driven attitude with a strong focus on growth objectives
• Leadership skills and ability to coordinate small teams
• Basic knowledge of lighting engineering fundamentals
• Proficiency with standard digital tools including web browsers, Microsoft Office applications, and CRM systems
• Knowledge of Dialux or other lighting calculation software is appreciated but not mandatory
• Fluent (best if native) French
• Professional English or Italian
